Dropshipping Tycoon Hire and Upgrade Specialists
Staff the bottleneck: ads, warehouse, fulfillment, or factory. Upgrade that role before you collect a crowd.
Employees in Dropshipping Tycoon are specialists you hire and upgrade so the company runs while you look at the next floor. They are not named mascots and they are not other players. The official loop asks you to hire and upgrade specialized employees after the warehouse and headquarters start to grow, then again when the factory needs a line crew. This page stays at role types: ads, warehouse, fulfillment, and factory. For rankings inside those types, use the employee ranking list. For the buildings they stand in, use the warehouse and HQ expansion guide and the factory contracts walkthrough. Other walkthroughs sit on the Guides Hub map.
You can process early orders yourself. That is the tutorial. The moment ads, restocks, and packing all want your camera at once, a specialist is cheaper than a stalled loop. Do not hire a full roster to decorate the lobby. Hire the role that matches the jam, upgrade it, then hire the next jam.
Role types, not character names
This wiki does not invent NPC names, wages, or unique keybinds. Use the in-game hire panel for current costs. Think in four buckets:
- Ads specialists keep campaigns running and help the storefront find demand without you babysitting every create-ad button.
- Warehouse specialists receive stock, keep bins usable, and protect delivery automation so inbound crates do not die in the doorway.
- Fulfillment specialists process customer orders so packed demand becomes Cash instead of a queue.
- Factory roles keep forklifts, conveyors, and B2B contracts moving once the plant is online.
If the hire UI uses slightly different labels after a patch, map them back to those four jobs. The job is what you upgrade. The outfit is not.
Arcade cabinets unlock upgrades and can make a specialist more worth the Cash. They still do not replace the hire. A boosted empty desk is still empty.
Hire for the bottleneck
Walk the loop once before you open the hire panel:
- If products do not move, you need ads help or a better product, not more packers.
- If deliveries cannot dock, you need warehouse help and space, not more advertisers.
- If shelves are full and orders sit, you need fulfillment help.
- If contracts are live and the line idles, you need factory roles.
- If everything waits on you personally, you need the specialist for whichever station you keep running back to.
That order matches money more than it matches vibes. A warehouse specialist cannot save a product nobody advertised. An ads specialist cannot save a dock that rejects stock. Upgrade the person already in the jammed role before you hire a second type “for later.” Later arrives as a different jam.
Cash pays most hires. Gems are the scarcer currency; do not dump them into a duplicate of a role you have not upgraded. Factory contracts pay Cash and Gems, which is when factory roles start to justify themselves. Until then, retail specialists fund the plant.
Upgrade before you collect a crowd
One upgraded specialist in the jammed role beats three unupgraded bodies standing in the lobby. Upgrades exist so the default state of the company is “work continues.” That default is what Offline Earnings need. It is also what a five-minute Cash Boost needs: extra demand is useless if nobody processes it.
A simple upgrade rule:
- If you still have to stand next to that station, upgrade again or fix the building pathing.
- If the station runs while you look at another floor, stop upgrading that role and spend on the next jam.
- If two roles fail at once, fix space first (warehouse), then people.
Space and staff are a pair. Hiring warehouse specialists into a building with no bins does nothing. Hiring fulfillment specialists into a company with no ads does nothing. Build the lane, then staff it. The first-hour company checklist is still the right page if you have not shipped the starter product; specialists will not skip that tutorial.
Ads, warehouse, fulfillment, factory as a timeline
Early company: you are the ads and fulfillment department. Hire fulfillment first if orders pile up while you restock, or ads first if stock sits because nobody is creating campaigns. Mid company: warehouse specialists become mandatory as soon as deliveries outrun your camera. Late company: factory roles join when B2B contracts are actually accepted, not when the building is a pretty shell.
Keep retail staff when the factory opens. Ads and fulfillment still feed the plant. Owners who fire the shop crew to “go industrial” return to silent conveyors. Rank spend with the employee list, and rank boosts separately on the ads and boosts ranking. Daily rewards can fund a hire; claim daily login gifts. No public promo codes were confirmed in September 2026.
Other players are not your employees
Servers hold eight owners. A neighbor standing in your headquarters is not on payroll. They cannot process your orders, drive your forklifts, or complete your contracts. Group pages and leaderboards are social layers, not staffing tools. If you want people to visit, use the player and group pages and still hire NPCs for the work.
Check Settings if a hire prompt does not match your device. There is no unique employee hotkey to memorize. Click the hire and upgrade UI, then get your camera back to the jam you meant to solve.
Upgrade the bottleneck specialist instead of collecting a mascot roster. A single ads, warehouse, fulfillment, or factory role that keeps working when you look away is worth more than a crowded lobby that still needs you to tap every crate. Hire for the station that stole your last session, upgrade that station until it runs, and only then let the next role onto the plot.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Which specialist should I hire first?
Hire the role that matches the jam: ads if nothing sells, warehouse if deliveries fail, fulfillment if orders pile up. Factory roles wait until contracts are live.
Should I hire many employees or upgrade one?
Upgrade the jammed role first. One specialist who keeps working beats a lobby of unupgraded hires you still have to babysit.
Are other players on my server my staff?
No. Eight players share a map, and each company stays private. Neighbors cannot process your orders or run your factory line.
Do I spend Gems on early hires?
Prefer Cash for retail specialists. Gems are scarcer and pair better with factory-scale jumps after contracts pay both currencies.
Will employees run the company while I am offline?
They help Offline Earnings by keeping receiving and fulfillment alive. They cannot fix a full warehouse or a product with no ads.
Where do I compare employee types?
Use the employee ranking list for spend order inside each role type, then come back here for hire timing against warehouse and factory buildings.
